Was Kara’s Japanese manager involved in an incident at Chongryon?

DSP Media which manages Kara says to Starnews on February 3, “The man who is at the center of controversy works for DSP Japan, the company responsible for Kara’s activities in Japan. He manages Kara’s schedules. This rumor wouldn’t affect Kara’s career, but since it is brought up as a big issue, we are checking whether it is true or not.

 

This issue wouldn’t affect Kara’s activity in Korea, but we believe this question was raised by those who are rather conservative. As a movement against Hallyu within Japan is becoming stronger recently, many local fans are reacting very sensitive toward the issue.

 

First, we are going to check his involvement in Chongryon and will make an official announcement after reviewing other situations and further plans.”

On an online community board, a question has been raised over a man who accompanies Kara in some activities may be the same one who disturbed the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department running a mandatory investigation in the headquarters of Chongryon in November, 2006.

 

Netizens aggravated the issue by posting some pictures of the man with Kara and some others taken during the mandatory investigation in Chongryon by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

 

Meanwhile, Kara will hold Kara Concert at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul on February 18 and 19.
