SHINee’s “Everybody” ranks number one on six music charts

SHINee officially released their fifth EP, Everybody, on the 14th at noon, and just an hour later, the title song rose to number one on music charts, including Mnet, Naver Music, Daum Music, Bugs Music, Soribada, and Olleh Music.

 

The song has also ranked second, right after IU’s “Pink Shoes,” on Korea’s biggest music chart, Melon. Not only the title track, but other tracks (“Symptoms,” “Close the door,” and “One minute”) have also ranked in the top 10 on some music charts. With this EP, SHINee joins the October music-charts war; IU and Busker Busker were already in.

 

SHINee gave their first performance of “Everybody,” which was written by Thomas Troelson, on a TV music program last week. The song features powerful choreography by Tony Testa. “Symptoms,” also from the new EP, has lyrics by SHINee member Jong Hyun and music by the world-renowned producing team “The Under Dogs,” who have worked with Beyonc
