The movie Alumni, starring Big Bang’s T.O.P., to open in the U.S. and German-speaking countries

On October 15, Showbox, a movie distribution company, announced that it has contracted to distribute the movie Alumni in the U.S. and German-speaking countries. Wellgo USA, the American distributor, which has also distributed several other Korean movies in North America, including The Front Line, Thieves, and The Man from Nowhere, decided to release Alumni in major cities in the United States on November 29.

Splendid Films, having distributed I Saw The Evil, War Of Arrows, Jeon Woo-Chi, Berlin, and The Man From Nowhere in their region, also purchased the rights to distribute to German-speaking countries. The release date is yet to be decided upon.

Alumni is a story of a boy who accepts a proposal to go to South Korea to become a secret agent of North Korea in order to protect his sister, the only family he has left in the communist regime. The movie is directed by Park Heungsoo and stars Big Bang’s T.O.P, Han Yeri, and Kim Yoojung. In Korea, the movie will be released on November 6.
