NewJeans Proves Global Power with Japanese Debut Song.. 'K-POP RADAR' No. 1

The girl group NewJeans has secured the No. 1 spot on the 'K-POP RADAR' weekly fandom chart, a chart show dedicated to K-pop that is broadcast across the United States.

On the 28th, the K-pop dedicated chart program 'K-POP RADAR', which is regularly scheduled on American radio, announced its weekly fandom chart. This week, NewJeans claimed the top spot with their Japanese debut song 'Supernatural'.

The music video for 'Supernatural' garnered 6.89 million views during the K-POP RADAR's 4th week of June aggregation period (June 20th to 26th). Their Spotify follower increase also recorded an impressive 74,000, far exceeding the K-pop average of 2,000.

Additionally, according to K-POP RADAR, NewJeans' Instagram followers increased by 76,000 and Twitter followers by approximately 13,000 during that week. 

In comparison, the average increase for K-pop artists' Instagram followers was 3,700 and Twitter followers was 333. This demonstrates their exceptional global influence even with just their Japanese debut.
