NewJeans' 'Supernatural' Korean Version Released

The Korean version of girl group NewJeans' (Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) Japanese debut title track 'Supernatural' has been released.


On the 5th at midnight, NewJeans posted 'Supernatural' Music Video Part.2 on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel. This sequel follows Part.1, which was released along with the track on the 21st of last month. In Music Video Part.2, the Japanese singing parts of 'Supernatural' are now presented with Korean lyrics. Additionally, the storyline hidden in Music Video Part.1 is revealed, showcasing NewJeans' unique imagination and narrative style, stimulating viewers' imaginations.


The music video features supernatural phenomena centered around the members, hinting at the true nature of NewJeans. Phrases like 'Breaking News: Increase in Unidentified Strange Creatures' appearing on TV screens add to the intrigue. Global fans are engaging in various speculative interpretations based on these clues, enjoying the music video.


'Supernatural' continues to perform well on domestic and international charts, including in Japan and Korea. The single 'Supernatural' ranked 4th for two consecutive weeks on Japan's Oricon latest weekly combined singles ranking (July 8 issue / aggregation period June 24-30). The title track 'Supernatural' placed 11th in the weekly streaming ranking and 15th in the weekly digital singles ranking. Additionally, the song ranked 16th on Spotify Japan's 'Daily Top Song' on the 3rd and 15th on Apple Music Japan's 'Top 100', maintaining high positions on major Japanese music charts. 


The buzz from their Tokyo Dome fan meeting also led to a resurgence in domestic music charts. 'Supernatural' topped the Bugs daily chart for two consecutive days (July 2-3) and climbed to 8th place on Melon's 'Top 100' (as of 10 PM on the 4th). The included track 'Right Now' also entered the charts, leading to a dual success.


NewJeans attracted over 91,200 spectators to their 'Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome' fan meeting held on June 26-27. As solo stages by the members continue to heat up online, NewJeans is set to appear on Nippon TV's 'THE MUSIC DAY 2024' on the 6th.
