South Korean girl group aespa hit song 'Supernova' has firmly established itself as the 'Best Song of the First Half of 2024.'

The pre-release title track 'Supernova' from Aespa's first full album was recently selected by the UK music magazine DORK as one of the 'Best Songs of 2024 (So Far),' following its success on the Billboard charts. DORK praised, "aespa's 'Supernova' is a cosmic creation where electropop and hip-hop collide, taking you to another world. They have crafted a black hole-like beat that pulls listeners into the song and then spits them out into another dimension. This is not just K-pop; it is an interstellar journey that overwhelms your speakers."

Additionally, the renowned American business magazine Forbes reported that aespa's first full album 'Armageddon' entered the 'Billboard 200' chart, noting, "'Armageddon' has made its debut on the list of best-selling albums in the U.S. with a significant increase in sales. This is one of the highest sales in the U.S. and a considerable increase compared to previous periods."

'Supernova' also dominated the weekly charts on major domestic music sites Melon and Genie (for the week of July 15-21), holding the top spot for nine consecutive weeks.

This extends its record as the longest-running number one song released this year, showcasing its unrivaled popularity both domestically and internationally.
