ITZY has heightened anticipation for their comeback with the release of a preview of their new album GOLD.
Ahead of the album's release on October 15, ITZY shared teasing content such as the tracklist, trailers, and concept photos through their official social media channels. On October 7 at midnight, they revealed the "IMAGINARY TRACK" video, offering a sneak peek of six tracks from GOLD. The video showcases instrumental snippets of these songs, ranging from groovy and rhythmic melodies to energetic beats, giving fans a taste of the album’s diverse sound. Each track is paired with unique illustrations and visual effects that enhance the listening experience, leaving fans even more excited for the full release.
The album will feature ITZY’s first-ever double title tracks, "GOLD" and "Imaginary Friend," along with new songs such as "Bad Girls R Us," "Supernatural," "FIVE," and "VAY (Feat. Changbin of Stray Kids)." In addition, the album will include final versions of songs from their previous work BORN TO BE, including the title track "UNTOUCHABLE," and other tracks like "Mr. Vampire," "Dynamite," and "Escalator," making for a total of 11 songs.
Renowned K-pop hitmakers like Ryan Jhun and American producer Dem Jointz contributed to the title tracks, enhancing the album's quality. Popular lyricists such as Jo Yoon-kyung and Bang Hye-hyun also participated in the project.
Notably, Stray Kids' Changbin worked on and featured in the sixth track, "VAY." Following the conclusion of their second world tour ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR <BORN TO BE>, which covered 32 shows in 28 regions, ITZY’s comeback with GOLD is expected to shine as brightly as its name suggests.
ITZY’s new mini-album GOLD will be officially released on October 15 at 6 PM KST. Prior to the release, the group will hold a comeback countdown live event at 5 PM KST to interact with their fans.
