NewJeans' past releases Show Impressive Staying Power
NewJeans is experiencing an unprecedented resurgence in global music charts, with all tracks from their albums re-entering the charts, gaining widespread popularity among international music fans.
According to their agency ADOR, as of October 8, NewJeans' song ETA has climbed to No. 2 on the Apple Music K-pop chart in the U.S. and even reached the top spot recently. The song continues to dominate the charts, holding a strong position, showcasing its enduring appeal.
Beyond ETA, all of NewJeans' past releases are showing impressive staying power. Their first EP New Jeans (4 songs), single album OMG (2 songs), second EP Get Up (6 songs), and double single How Sweet (2 songs) have a total of 14 tracks that have charted on Apple Music U.S. K-pop charts.
The rankings of other notable songs include Super Shy (10th), How Sweet (12th), Ditto (13th), OMG (18th), New Jeans (22nd), Attention (25th), Hype Boy (34th), Cool With You (38th), Bubble Gum (59th), Get Up (67th), Cookie (68th), ASAP (74th), and Hurt (94th).
Thanks to the reverse climb of ETA, older releases are also rising in rankings. The fact that album tracks released long ago are re-entering the Apple Music U.S. charts in such large numbers is unprecedented in K-pop. Notably, this surge is driven organically by word of mouth, particularly on social media, indicating sustained popularity rather than a temporary trend. Given this steady upward trajectory, many are keen to see how far this momentum will go.
On Spotify's "Daily Viral Songs U.S." chart (as of October 6), ETA has risen three spots to No. 38, after re-entering at No. 79 on October 3. It has climbed consistently for three consecutive days. The song is also gaining traction in the UK, jumping from No. 65 on October 4 to No. 44 on October 6.
NewJeans' global appeal is further reflected in their rankings on the "Daily Viral Songs" charts across 12 countries and regions, including Canada (32nd), New Zealand (33rd), Denmark (40th), Australia (45th), Iceland (52nd), Norway (64th), Lithuania (78th), Ireland (84th), Sweden (98th), and Estonia (100th).
Despite being in a non-promotional period, NewJeans continues to expand their global influence, and fans are eager to see how far their reach will grow.
