LE SSERAFIM Surprises Fans with Japanese Single 'Star Signs' as Global Reach Expands
LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) has surprised fans by releasing a new Japanese track. According to Source Music on the 13th, LE SSERAFIM dropped "Star Signs," a track from their upcoming third Japanese single album CRAZY, across music platforms at midnight. "Star Signs" delivers a message of courage, portraying the idea that one can move forward without fear when surrounded by close companions. The song blends the group’s soft vocals with bouncy piano sounds, groovy bass, and City Pop elements, making for an ear-catching track.
A lyric video for "Star Signs" was also released on HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel at the same time, delighting fans. The video captures the five members singing aboard a bus at night, evoking the clear, cool air of winter. The stylish visuals, warm melody, and gentle atmosphere enhance the song's charm.
The upcoming third Japanese single album will include "Star Signs," along with Japanese versions of their fourth mini album title track CRAZY, released in Korea last August, and "EASY," the title track from their third mini album from February. Recently, LE SSERAFIM achieved notable recognition, winning awards at both the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards and the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards, showcasing their strong presence on the global music stage. This Japanese release has garnered significant attention following these achievements.
Meanwhile, Billboard’s latest chart (dated November 16) shows that LE SSERAFIM’s fourth mini album title track, CRAZY, remains on the Global 200 at No. 167 and on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart at No. 106, marking its 10th consecutive week on the charts. The album also placed No. 47 on the Top Current Album Sales and No. 8 on the World Albums chart.
