BTS's Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' Surpasses 1 Million Units Sold in the U.S., Setting New K-Pop Solo Records

BTS's Jungkook continues to solidify his global dominance as his solo album "GOLDEN" achieves remarkable success in the United States.

Recently, platforms such as World Music Awards (WMA), often referred to as the "European Billboard," and Chart Data, which provides real-time updates on global music charts, announced through their official accounts that Jungkook has sold over 1 million units of his full-length album in the U.S.

Released in November 2023, Jungkook's debut solo album "GOLDEN" set an unprecedented record as the fastest K-pop solo artist album to surpass 1 million units sold in the largest music market in the world.

Despite being his first solo debut album, "GOLDEN" became the first and fastest K-pop solo artist album to achieve this milestone in the U.S., earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Notably, it also became the best-selling debut album by a male artist in the past decade, with 8.4 million units sold globally.

During its first week of release, "GOLDEN" broke another record by becoming the first K-pop solo album to sell over 200,000 units in the U.S. It also marked a historic achievement as Jungkook became the first K-pop solo artist to sell over 500,000 units in the U.S. in 2023.

Additionally, all tracks from "GOLDEN" individually surpassed 100,000 units sold in the U.S., further underscoring Jungkook's widespread appeal.

Jungkook also made history as the first K-pop solo artist to have five songs exceed 1 million units sold in the U.S. These songs include "Standing Next To You", "Seven", "3D", "Euphoria", and "Left and Right".

Notably, "Seven" has sold over 2 million units in the U.S., earning a Double Platinum certification from the RIAA.

Jungkook's achievements highlight his immense global popularity and further establish him as one of the most successful solo artists in K-pop history.
