NewJeans Wins Best Performance Award for 'How Sweet' at AAA 2024: "Grateful to CEO Min Hee-jin"

The group NewJeans won the Best Performance Award for their song How Sweet at the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024), held on December 27th at the IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was hosted by Ryu Jun-yeol, Jang Won-young, and Sung Han-bin.

Upon receiving the award, NewJeans shared their joy:
"We’re so happy to receive this award, which we really wanted to dedicate to our performance directors. They put so much thought and care into making every stage unique. Thanks to their effort and the hard work of our members, we’ve been able to deliver great performances. We also want to thank our dancers, who always support us on stage."

The group also expressed gratitude to CEO Min Hee-jin:
"We're incredibly thankful to CEO Min Hee-jin. Seeing so many Bunnies (our fan club) waving their Bingkybongs (lightsticks) was truly touching. When we first debuted, we won Best Performance, and to receive it again this year feels like a huge honor. It’s one of the awards we, as a group, cherish the most, so we’re thrilled."

They added:
"Performance isn’t just about dance. It’s also about the outfits that elevate the choreography, making it shine. We’re grateful to our staff for providing us with stylish and comfortable costumes that let us put on our best performances."

AAA 2024: A Celebration of Top Artists

This year’s AAA brought together the biggest stars of 2024. The music category included NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, BIBI, SUHO, ZEROBASEONE, TONY YU, KISS OF LIFE, WHIB, BUS (Because of You I Shine), DAY6, NCT 127, NCT WISH, QWER, TWS, WayV, &TEAM, and more.

In the acting category, stars such as Kim Min, Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Hye-yoon, Park Min-young, Byun Woo-seok, Ahn Bo-hyun, Jang Da-ah, Jo Yu-ri, Joo Won, Choi Bo-min, Gemini & Fourth, and Sakaguchi Kentaro lit up the Bangkok night with their presence.

Organized by Star News and the AAA Organizing Committee, and produced by Motive Production and Box Live, AAA 2024 was broadcast live in Korea via MTN (Money Today Network).
