NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) has achieved a significant milestone as the performance version of their hit song “OMG” music video surpassed 300 million views on YouTube. This marks the first NewJeans music video to reach this impressive figure.
According to their agency ADOR, the music video for “OMG”, the title track of their single album of the same name, achieved this feat on January 7. The track blends UK Garage rhythms with trap beats, delivering a bouncy and refreshing hip-hop R&B vibe. The performance video of “OMG” showcases the members’ individuality through their adorable styling—complete with bunny hats and quirky bags—while highlighting their lovable choreography, providing a visually delightful experience.
Upon its release on January 2, 2023, “OMG” quickly dominated domestic music charts alongside the album’s other hit track, “Ditto”, securing the top two positions. Remarkably, NewJeans, then only six months into their debut, also entered the Billboard Hot 100, marking a major milestone in their career. On Spotify, “OMG” has been streamed over 760 million times to date.
In addition to “OMG”, NewJeans boasts a total of five music videos with view counts in the hundreds of millions:
