TVXQ’s Yunho is cast in a new SBS drama series
TVXQ’s Yunho has been cast in a lead role in SBS TV’s new drama series Yawang, which will star Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae. He will soon be busy with rehearsing and shooting the series.
Baek Do Hoon, the role Yunho plays in the series, is an ice-hockey player and a son of Baek Chang Hak of the Baek Hak Group. He’s a frank, straightforward, gentle, charismatic, and manly fellow who falls in love with Da Hae (played by Soo Ae).
Yawang is based on the popular cartoon series Daemul – Yawangjeon. It is about a woman who becomes the first lady, having risen out of poverty, and a man who sacrifices everything for her.
The series is codirected by Jo Nam Gook and Jo Young Kwang, who also directed The Chaser, and is written by Lee Hee Myung, known for writing The Rooftop Prince. It will start airing early in January next year after The King of Dramas goes off the air.
Having debuted as the leader of TVXQ in 2003, Yunho made his acting debut in MBC TV’s drama series No Limit and also made a cameo appearance in KBS 2TV’s Poseidon.
