Big Bang and 2NE1 are chosen as the Europe’s favorite K-pop artists

Big Bang and 2NE1 have recently been chosen as the Europe’s favorite K-pop artists of the year. The So Loved Awards, inaugurated in 2010 as the first K-pop awards in Europe, took an online vote for the best K-pop artists in November, and about 300,000 people in Europe participated.

Big Bang was selected as the best male K-pop singing group, receiving 30.4 percent of the votes, and 2NE1 were selected as the best female K-pop group, receiving 45.2 percent of the votes. Big Bang and 2NE1, who are represented by YG Entertainment, have promoted themselves and their songs all over the world through global tours.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon (52.9 percent) and G.NA (30.8 percent) were selected as the best male and female solo K-pop singers, and B.A.P (42.5 percent) and Ailee (42.2 percent) were selected as the best new male and female K-pop artists.

Block B’s Blockbuster (41 percent) and Big Bang’s Still Alive were voted the best album and single.

Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” (26.7 percent) and 2NE1’s “Scream”(40.7 percent) were chosen as the best songs released in Korea and Japan, respectively.

The music video of Block B’s “Nilili Mambo” was selected as the best K-pop music video, and the choreography of B.A.P’s “Warrior” was picked as the best choreography. Block B’s “Burn Out” was chosen as the best song from a soundtrack, and CN Blue and Block B were picked as the best rock/alternative artist and hip-hop artist.

The So Loved Awards is hosted by So Loved, a K-pop community in Germany, and sponsored by the Korea Cultural Center in Germany, the German Embassy in Korea, the Korean Federation for International Culture Exchange, KBS World, and K-Colors of Korea, an online magazine that covers Korean culture in German and English.
