Gugudan Disbands After 4 Years

Girl group Gugudan decided to disband the team after 4 years of debut and disappears into history. But, don't worry. The individual activities of some members are expected to become more prominent in the future.

On the 30th, the agency Jellyfish Entertainment released a statement that "Gugudan, who has been eagerly running since its debut and has been loved so far, will end its official group activities on the 31st. After a long, serious and in-depth discussion, the final consultation was made to end the group activities. Although the group activities are finished, we will do our best without sparing full support for various personal activities such as music and acting of the members."

 

Although they will no longer be a part of Gugudan, the members will go their separate ways, some into the acting business, some doing solo music and some doing both, the agency added.
 
“Jellyfish Entertainment will support each member despite the disbandment so that they can find success in their solo careers,”apologizing to Gugudan’s fans.

Nine-member group Gugudan, which first debutd into the music industry through the mini-album 'Act.1 The Little Mermaid' in June 2016, was reorganized into a group of eight when Hyeyeon left for health reasons after two years of activity.
